Oil & Gas Software for the Data Around Your Operations

Custom software, data integration and legacy-format reverse engineering for upstream and midstream operators, oilfield service companies and energy firms in Oklahoma and beyond.

Where We Fit in Your Stack

Energy companies run on systems that were bought one at a time over decades: SCADA and DCS, historians, well and production databases, accounting packages, field ticketing, seismic archives and a lot of spreadsheets. Each one works. The problem is moving data between them. We are a software firm, not a control-system integrator. We work on the data and integration layer around your control systems, and we leave the control logic to the people who own it.

Read-Only by Default

We pull data out of SCADA and historians through OPC UA gateways and existing exports. Nothing we build writes to the process.

Legacy Formats

SEG-Y with IBM floating point, compressed OpenVDS volumes, undocumented SOAP services and old database exports.

Alongside Your Integrator

Your controls integrator keeps ownership of the control layer. We coordinate with them on access, tags and change windows.

Oil & Gas Software Capabilities

Software for the data that sits between the wellhead, the control room and the back office.

Seismic Data Formats

Parsers, decompressors and viewers for SEG-Y and OpenVDS, including IBM floating point samples and nonstandard headers.

Historian and SCADA Data Extraction

Read-only access to historians and SCADA data through OPC UA gateways, so operations data reaches reporting and business systems.

Well, Production and Field Ticket Integration

Connecting well data, production accounting and field ticketing systems so the same volumes and tickets are not keyed in twice.

Field Mobile Apps

Apps for pumpers, field techs and crews that work with poor connectivity and sync when a signal returns.

Replacing Spreadsheet and Access Workflows

Moving critical spreadsheets and Access databases into a proper application with permissions, history and validation.

AI-Assisted Reverse Engineering

Decoding legacy file formats and undocumented APIs so data can move between systems that were never designed to talk.

What We Build for Energy Companies

Subsurface and Seismic

SEG-Y readers that handle IBM System/360 and IEEE floating point samples

OpenVDS decompression for large seismic volumes

Browser-based 3D seismic viewers built on WebGL

Collaborative interpretation and annotation tools

Conversion pipelines from legacy seismic archives to current formats

Operations and Back Office

Read-only historian and SCADA extraction through OPC UA gateways

Integrations between well data, production accounting and field ticketing

Field mobile apps that work offline and sync later

Applications that replace spreadsheet and Access workflows

Connectors for vendor systems with no API or an undocumented one

Oil & Gas Software Development FAQ

Do you replace our SCADA or DCS?

No. We are a software firm, not a control-system integrator. We build the data layer around your SCADA, DCS and historian: read-only extraction, integration with business systems, reporting and field applications. Control logic stays where it is, and we work alongside your controls integrator so nothing we build writes to the process.

Can you read our legacy seismic files?

Usually, yes. We have written a SEG-Y parser from scratch that handles textual and binary headers, trace headers and IBM System/360 floating point samples, and a Rust decompressor for OpenVDS volumes. Older files often bend the standard with nonstandard header locations or vendor extensions. We inspect a sample of your data first and tell you what we can decode before any build work starts.

How do you get data out of systems without an API?

We look at what the system already exposes: database tables, file exports, report outputs, OPC UA or vendor gateways, and network traffic between the client and server. We use AI-assisted tools to speed up the analysis of undocumented formats and protocols, then build a read-only connector and validate its output against the source system before anyone relies on it.

Is reverse engineering vendor software legal?

Reverse engineering for interoperability is generally permitted in the United States, but your license agreement or MSA may restrict it, and the details matter. We review those terms with you before starting and recommend you confirm with your own counsel. This is not legal advice.

How do engagements start?

With a fixed-scope assessment. We review the systems, data formats and workflows involved, confirm what can be read and integrated, and deliver a written plan with an estimate. You can decide whether to proceed with us, with another team, or not at all.

Built for Subsurface and Field Data

We have written seismic parsers and decompressors from the byte level up, rendered large point sets in the browser, and pulled data out of vendor systems that had no documentation. We bring the same approach to every oil and gas project, starting from a fixed-scope assessment.
